Rotation Camera ยท last updated 27 October 2026

Rotation Camera is a camera app for iPhone and iPad. What you take stays on your device. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking, and the app makes no network connections of its own, so the developer never receives your photos, your videos or anything about how you use it.

Camera and microphone

The camera is used to show the picture and take photos and videos. The microphone is used only while you record a video, for its sound. Both stay on your device.

Your photos and videos

Lock Screen camera

Shots taken from the Lock Screen are saved to Photos straight away. The app's copies are kept in a space iOS sets aside for the Lock Screen camera, then moved into the app the next time you open it.

Location (optional)

If you allow it, the place a shot was taken is written into the shot's details, as the built-in Camera does. The location isn't sent anywhere, but it travels with the photo if you share it. You can turn it off in Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.

QR codes

QR codes are read on your device. When you tap one, its link opens in Safari or the app it belongs to; Rotation Camera doesn't visit it itself.

Crash reports

If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, or you're testing through TestFlight, Apple may pass crash reports and any feedback you send to the developer, under Apple's privacy policy.

Children

Rotation Camera isn't directed at children and doesn't collect anything from anyone.
